Through all of this, quality customer service and satisfaction have remained our priority. We promptly process and ship your orders from our own warehouse, located in Carter Lake, IA. Our History
1998
Toolbarn.com is formed. Toolbarn is an online retailer specializing in selling power tools, hand tools, construction equipment, supplies and accessories.
2000
Toolbarn moves from its initial warehouse to a new 22,000-square-foot building to accommodate the success and increased business of the website.
2001
Toolbarn launches our replacement parts site, ToolPartsDirect.com which now features hundreds of thousands of parts and tens of thousands of tool diagrams.
2003
Toolbarn added Milwaukee Tools to our already impressive lineup of power tools, which previously included Makita, Dewalt, Hitachi, Porter Cable, Panasonic and Bosch.
2006
Toolbarn.com earns a spot on Internet Retailer's top 500 list of the largest e-retailers in the U.S. Toolbarn has appeared on this list multiple times since. Due to continued success, Toolbarn moves again to a larger, 30,000-square-foot building to meet the demands of increasing business.
2007
Toolbarn expanded into industrial power tools adding Delta, Jet and Powermatic tool lines.
2008
Toolbarn brings on personal safety lines from 3M, Miller and PIP. Toolbarn expands its offering into the concrete and masonry markets by bringing on Kraft Tool and Marshalltown to help supply a more diverse contractor market.
2009
Toolbarn brings on personal safety lines from 3M, Miller and PIP. Toolbarn expands its offering into the concrete and masonry markets by bringing on Kraft Tool and Marshalltown to help supply a more diverse contractor market.
2011
Toolbarn expands its offering into the cleaning and floor care markets by bringing on Karcher, AR Blue Clean, and Mi-T-M. PressureParts.com was acquired, offering replacement pumps, parts and accessories for name brand pressure washers.
2013
With the success of hand tools, Toolbarn brings on Grey Pneumatic, Wright, and SK lines of industrial grade hand tools.
2015
Toolbarn expands its hand tool offering by bringing on Ideal, Knipex and Wera hand tool lines. Planning begins for the construction of a new 70,000-square-foot Distribution Center.
2016
Toolbarn launches a mobile responsive site with added functionality and improvements to the online shopping experience.
